Hey, thanks for checking out my site. I’m a writer and student of fantasy and science fiction. I write under my full name Jered Daniel Fitzgerald, but you can call me Fitz. I want to try and do something a little different with this site. I’m promoting myself, but I’ll also be promoting everyone that I have been learning from over the past couple years. As of this writing I am a student of Southern New Hampshire University in the Creative Writing MFA program. I thought it would be cool to somewhat share my experiences as a student of both the school and the various sites and content creators that I have found to be interesting. If it tells you anything, I am a huge fan of Brandon Sanderson and Stephen King, they are my top two idols and the authors I try to emulate.

On this site you’ll find writing advice, helpful links, and my personal blog. As I progress in my career I’ll add pages for any books that I publish and any free content that I put on this site. In the Links page, you’ll find links (duh) to YouTube user pages like Brandon Sanderson, Daniel Greene, and Merphy Napier. Daniel and Merphy are my favorite booktubers and have a lot of great insight into what makes a good book. The list is far from complete and will grow as I find more resources.

You’ll also find the Rules page. This isn’t the rules you have to follow in order to be on my site, that would be dumb, but rather a list of writing rules (advice) that I’ve been throwing around my head for a while now. They aren’t set in stone and they are likely to change (they’ll definitely change a lot–at least for a while). Like I said, I’m a student. I’d like to think that I’ll always be a student. The moment you think you don’t need to learn anymore is the moment you’ve failed–like, at life. So take a look around and don’t hesitate to leave a comment in the blog or send me an email if you’ve got suggestions.
